5 benefits of volunteering as a family
CAPITOL ACCOUNTABILITY PROJECT
WELCOMES YOU
Juneteenth is a day of celebration and reflection, marking the end of slavery in the United States. Join CAP as we honor this important day in history and continue the fight for equality and justice for all. Let's come together to celebrate the progress we've made and work that still lies ahead.
WHO WE ARE
Our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly in the actions of our initiatives. From the moment we started our work in 2019, we understood that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Capitol Accountability Project. We strive to make a positive change in all of our pursuits.
ABOUT CAPITOL ACCOUNTABILITY PROJECT
What is the "positive change?" At Capitol Accountability Project (CAP), we see the value in our community. We are a catalyst for positive change, and since our beginning, we have been driven by the same ideas we founded our nonprofit organization upon: support, empowerment and progress.
Dealing with today's challenges requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. CAP emerged from the grassroots in a pursuit to inspire and support OUR community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. We promote impactful solutions to the most critical issues we face, through power of civic engagement.
OUR VISION
Educate, Advocate, Train. These three values have stood at the center of the Capitol Accountability Project mission since our founding. We wholeheartedly commit to the work we do with passion and dedication, transparently sharing it with the Black American African American Negro Freedmen (BANF) community and inviting others to form an alliance. On top of this, we challenge ourselves to think creatively, applying an innovative approach to all that we do. This mission drives the continued success of Capitol Accountability Project.
There are only a few pillars to political empowerment. Voting is but one. Adding local civic engagement brings home what we've been missing. What do you demand?
