We build power for Black American Negro Freedmen (BANF) communities — from the ground up. Capitol Accountability Project (CAP) moves with urgency and purpose. Since 2019, we've organized from the grassroots—training leaders, demanding appointments, and driving campaigns that shift power back to the people. Our strength is in what we do, not just what we say. This is where strategy meets action. And we’re just getting started.

Capitol Accountability Project (CAP) was built by and for those who are tired of waiting for justice and tired of watching power serve everyone but us. We are a catalyst for positive change, and since our inception, we have been driven by the same principles on which we founded our nonprofit: training, power, and progress.
Dealing with today's challenges requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. CAP emerged from the grassroots to inspire and support OUR community and to take action that speaks louder than words. We promote impactful solutions to the most critical issues we face through the power of civic engagement.

We envision a future in which the Black American Negro Freedmen (BANF) community exercises sustained political power rooted in transparency, creativity, and collective action. Our work is shared openly to build trust, invite alliance, and strengthen accountability across generations.

Political empowerment is broader than the ballot. Voting is essential—but not sufficient. True power is realized through consistent local civic engagement, bold demands, and innovative strategies that transform participation into lasting influence.
