Inspired by social movements of the past, Capitol Accountability Project began it's work 2004 when a few District of Columbia, Maryland and Northern Virgina community members decided to organize and make an impact in our communities. Pretty quickly, this action evolved into a full-fledged crusade. Our Grassroot Political Movement challenges the status quo, holding our local leaders accountable and fighting for legislation that will transform the lives of U.S. Freedmen citizenry.

Capitol Accountibility Project upholds many core values, one of them being the fight for reparative justice for American Freedmen. We need to live in a society where people do not merely support progressive change, but fight for it.
